Apply aloe vera
Aloe vera helps soothe and moisturize sunburnt skin and prevents it from peeling. It also has cooling properties and aids with the skin's healing process.
Take a cool bath
Taking frequent cool baths can help relieve the pain caused by sunburn. You can also opt to add baking soda to help with the itching and inflammation.
Stay hydrated
Sunburns draw fluid to the surface of the skin that may cause you to become dehydrated. Drinking extra amounts of water to prevent this from happening.
Apply a cool compress to soothe the skin
Applying a cool compress in short intervals helps draw out the heat from the sunburnt area. But, make sure to not directly apply it to the skin.
Protect the skin from sun exposure
Avoid exposing your skin to more sunlight. If you need to go out, make sure to wear sunscreen and a wide-brim sun hat.
